A portrait of Kasper

I had an ultrasound the other day to make sure everything was well in the world of Kasper after the stent removal.

And here is the world's first photo of ol' Kasper himself. The bean type thing at the top is the kidney but as my boyfriend pointed out it looks more like Mary holding Baby Jesus if you look at it side on...bizarre. Even more bizarre that he noticed that! Other comparisons include a baby mouse with three paws and or a star map. All other analogies welcome!

ps. Got the results of the scan - all looks excellent apparently, blood flow is perfect!

Hi, I am glad I came across this blog. I am on the kidney transplant list in the USA. I am a 37 year mom of two little boys ages 2 & 4. I may have over looked it...but why did your kidneys fail?

Hi Vicky

No one is really sure why exactly my kidneys failed - but I think the fact that I only have one small one, has something to do with it!

Wishing you the best of luck on the transplant list in the USA! Is it a long wait over there?

Hi Holly, Actually not in the area I am from as compared to others. They say the average is just over 2 years at the hospital I am going to have it done at. I know other areas in the USA the average wait is over 4 years. We are trying for a live donor right now and have a few people being tested. Fingers are crossed!
